BAND HISTORY,

There are countless bands in the world waiting to be discovered.

Many of them are colorfully "cast together."

But there are also bands that are connected out of a deep friendship

.

and see the music as an expression of their common path. Just like Southern Replicat.

Southern Replicat was founded in 1999 primarily for fun and as an alternative

.

to the sometimes stressful everyday life of the band members of Karsten and Billy founded.

Windsurfing as a common hobby drew Kai as a singer on board and

.

at the same time provided themes for the first own songs such as "Surf Freak" from "Southern".

Conni got into the band rather by chance and after various futile searches as a bassist

and was a successful addition of ideas due to his experience and independent musical opinion.

In 2006 the band split up because jobs, families and other worries no longer offered room for the common music.

Timo, as the band's first drummer, left for work and Southern fell into a deep sleep.

After 4 years of rest, the guys were ready for new deeds.

Max replaced Timo as an equal and highly motivated drummer

.

And also Karsten strengthened the band as a second guitarist.

In 2011 Southern won first place at the EMERGENZA Semifinals at the Berlin "Lido"

.

But unfortunately life does not always play according to one's wishes. It came to the break in the band.

2018, 20 years after the band was founded, there was a big reunion and a premiere:

20 years of the band's history were brought together on a unique blue-ray.

The band spoke openly about their history, about ups and downs, and did not mince words.

In 2021, the single release "Angel" followed with the tracks "7 Days a Week" and "Can't bring me down"

and: work began on the actual CD "Can't bring me down"
